It's been a while - I'm sorry - I have been playing with my toys again - writing assignments and all that sort of thing!
Less than six months till I get married! that is just hectically exciting - crazy business, very very jumping up and down excited.
I'm not a very interesting guy, so I'll leave it at that - till later - peace!

Still got a sore throat and all that - yuck!
Gotta preach a second trial sermon tomorrow - I don't think its as good as the last one. Just got to pray that my throat isn't so sore in the morning as it was this morning.
Not completely happy with the sermon either - a bit boring if you ask me, but hopefully they'll get better as I study and learn more and more and more.
But for now - Med Lemon and zZZZzzzZZzZZzzZZ
boring

arrggghhhhhh
Swolen glands.
Doctor says its allergies! Allergies - boring.
Got to cut down on the wheat and milk - what else is there, isn't that what all food is made of: Wheat and milk?
Just made myself some Curried Beef stew kinda thing - should be good with rice. There's no milk or wheat in that I hope. Apparently I also need to get some exercise - like go for a walk or something, get fit, so I don't die young of a heart attack, or need new knees befor I turn fifty.
Otherwise life is great!
Got another trial service on Sunday morning - apparently they want a title for my sermon, I'm thinking Easter 3 (C). Titles come after sermons and sermons, even if they're finished on Friday, only get FINISHED on Saturday. Don't people know this.

dinner and the martime museum
hmmmmmmmmm.... thanks again for the dinner Murray and Gina - was most excellently delicious!
am off to the maritime museum today at the waterfront to look at ships and things with heather's family - should be cool, it looks like they've got some really cool models and things in there. Otherwise it's the Easter Weekend and I am definitely not running in the two oceans marathon!
may the force be with you all!

Guess what? I'm getting married!!! Can you imagine?
Heather and I got engaged last Thursday.... after a very nervous trip to her parents to ask for permission, everybody is well stoked!
We've been running around telling everyone and phoning them for the last few days, and every now and then getting a moment to catch up with ourselves. So now we're slowing down for a little while.
The date is setish for 11 December... so we'll see what happens.
God Bless,
Gus

What a day... up and down and all over the place. Mostly DEEP stressed and freaky. Had an Theology oral exam, and to face the screening committee. These two events decide whether I will be allowed to face the SYNOD - this means I get to stand up in front of hundreds of ministers and lay people and face a similar grilling.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGgggggggggggggggHHHHhhhhhh!
My shattered nerves. Anyways, at the end of it all they said 'we'll call you.' My favourite line, so I'll be waiting on the call to see what happens!
Meantime I've discovered an excellent article at www.upperroom.com it's about the origin of scripture, give it a read if you get a chance - can't think of the actual link right here.
God Bless
